About GoReal

The Bay Area's flat-fee brokerage for first-time homebuyers.

The problem

Buying a home in the Bay Area comes with a fee most people never see on a bill. The traditional buyer's agent is paid a commission of roughly 2.5–3% of the purchase price — about $37,500–$45,000on a $1.5 million home. That money doesn't appear out of nowhere. It's baked into the price of the home, which means buyers fund it whether they notice it or not.

The commission model also points your agent's incentives the wrong way. The more you pay for a house, and the faster you close, the more a commissioned agent earns. That is a strange arrangement for the largest purchase of your life.

Our model

GoReal replaces the commission with one number: a $5,000flat fee for full buyer representation, from first search to keys in hand. The fee doesn't grow with the price of the home, so our only incentive is to help you buy well.

Our advisors are salaried employees, not commissioned salespeople. They have no reason to push you toward a bigger budget or rush you into an offer. And they are real humans who actually respond — not a chatbot or an offshore call center.

Who we serve

We built GoReal for first-time buyers, because they have the most at stake and the least leverage in the traditional system. We work with clients across the Bay Area:

How we're licensed

GoReal is a licensed California real estate brokerage (CA DRE #01990429) and a member of MLSListings, which means the listings you browse here come straight from the same MLS data agents use — not scraped or secondhand. Our advisors are licensed California agents, and your purchase is handled to the same professional standards as at any traditional brokerage. The only thing we removed is the commission.
